Adult Behavioral Health
If you have a serious illness – such as severe depression, bipolar disorder or schizophrenia – our services are recovery-focused to help you find solutions to your most difficult and complex challenges. From peer support to housing and employment assistance, our Adult Division takes care of the whole person, helping them to achieve their potential to the fullest.
Once you’re on the road to recovery, our staff can work to help you navigate the justice system, find a job or housing, and offer support and assistance in obtaining your GED or going back to school.

Services are available in Bullitt, Henry, Jefferson, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer and Trimble counties.
ADULT SERVICES
Emergency Services provides 24-hour evaluation and intervention for adults at risk of harming themselves or someone else. This service is located in University Hospital in Emergency Psychiatric Services.
Counseling Services include assessments and individual, group and family counseling.
Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services are available upon request.
ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) engages persons with a Severe Mental Illness whose needs are not met by traditional outpatient services. The services are flexible and available 7 days per week, 24 hours a day.
Comprehensive Community Support Services includes in home training in daily living and coping skills
Criminal Justice and Jail Diversion Services intervene in the court system in Jefferson County on behalf of persons with severe mental illness to help insure that these individuals receive appropriate treatment versus jail time.
Housing First finds safe, affordable housing for persons with psychiatric disabilities, and then provides the individualized supports and services needed for success at home.
Medication Management services are available under the supervision of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners and nurses specializing in the psychiatric care of Adults.
Mental Health Outreach Team is a joint effort with the Louisville Metro Coalition for the Homeless to engage people who have a mental illness and are homeless, helping them access services and needed assistance.
Payee Services are available, where Seven Counties Services can serve as the payee for an individual to help manage his or her money.
Peer Support Services are led by people who have a diagnosis of a serious mental illness and are in recovery; this program helps others achieve their own successes.
PeerFit is a consumer-run health and wellness program including health assessments, fitness training, classes and more.
Targeted Case Management is a geared toward identifying and linking resources and supportive services to individuals with Severe Mental Illness and Substance Use Disorders.
TAYLRD ‘Transitional Age Youth Launching Realized Dreams’ is a drop-in center for youth 16-25 that provides life skills, psychiatric care, academic support, vocational services, court support and therapeutic support.
Therapeutic Rehabilitation: Recovery Zone is a day program for persons with severe mental illness. This program can be utilized as hospital diversion.
Vocational Alternatives extends job training, coaching, and placement services to adults with severe mental illness.
