Jefferson County Internship Consortium
The Jefferson County Internship Consortium (JCIC) is an APA accredited predoctoral training program in professional psychology jointly sponsored by Seven Counties Services, Central State Hospital, and the Kentucky Correctional Psychiatric Center. The JCIC internship is a generalist program designed to prepare interns for licensed professional practice, with the particular focus on public-sector mental health services and collaborative consultation with other health service providers and community agencies.
JCIC offers:
- Diverse training experiences with rotations including, but not limited to, inpatient treatment, outpatient therapy, forensic assessment, and school-based work.
- An emphasis on quality training with the opportunity for extensive supervision covering multiple theoretical orientations.
- A unique opportunity to conduct therapy sessions while receiving live supervision.
- Multiple opportunities to consult and collaborate within multidisciplinary treatment teams.
