Substance Abuse + Addictions
Seven Counties Services focuses on providing treatment to people with alcoholism and/or other addictions and helping them, and their loved ones, achieve a stable recovery.
COR-12™ Treatment Model
Seven Counties Services believes in Recovery Oriented Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) to address the Opioid and Heroin Epidemic. Recovery Oriented-MAT treats Heroin and Opioid use disorders with addiction medicine, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, case management, peer support, and linkage to the full continuum of community based mental health, children, and family services. Research indicates when treating substance-use disorders, a combination of medication and behavioral therapies is most effective.
Seven Counties Services has been recognized by the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation as a regional Solution Provider of their evidence based curricula and will be working in concert to address the opioid epidemic in Kentucky. Seven Counties Services Recovery Oriented Medication Assisted Treatment program follows the framework of Hazelden’s COR-12™, “Integrating the Twelve Steps with Medication Assisted Treatment”.
Together Seven Counties Services and the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation will work to prevent opioid abuse in communities while providing effective treatment and support for lifelong recovery for those struggling with substance use addictions. The COR-12™ Solution Set for Kentucky consists of a 5 Point Plan delivering community mobilization events, agency readiness assessments, clinical implementation training, and a Professional Learning Community for Clinical Leaders in support of COR-12™ program implementation.
