Addiction Recovery Center

CENTERSTONE ADDICTION RECOVERY CENTER (Formerly JADAC)

Alcoholism and drug addiction are chronic illnesses. They can destroy families, end careers and ultimately, ruin lives. But there is effective treatment available at Centerstone Addiction Recovery Center because that is our specialty. The focus at Centerstone Addiction Recovery Center is on helping people accept that they or a loved one have a chronic illness and help them achieve a stable recovery. A healthy, happy and productive life for the recovering individual and his or her family is the goal of every Centerstone Addiction Recovery Center program.

Centerstone Addiction Recovery Center, a division of Seven Counties Services, is an 80 – bed inpatient and outpatient facility that treats adults with addictions and their families. Since its inception in 1975 as Louisville’s first specialty hospital dedicated to the inpatient and outpatient treatment of alcoholism and other drug addictions, Centerstone Addiction Recovery Center has served nearly 250,000 people with addictions and their families. Our focus is providing treatment to people with alcoholism and/or other addictions and helping them and their loved ones achieve a stable recovery. A healthy, happy and productive life for the recovering individual and his or her family is the goal of every Centerstone Addiction Recovery Center program. Our counseling services are provided by licensed professional alcohol and drug counselors. Medical services are performed by licensed physicians and nurses. Centerstone Addiction Recovery Center is licensed by the State of Kentucky as a chemical dependency hospital and alcohol/drug treatment outpatient service.

INPATIENT SERVICES

Inpatient Detoxification Program
Centerstone Addiction Recovery Center offers an inpatient program for alcohol and drug detoxification service. Treatment includes medical evaluation, medical detoxification, counseling, education about the disease of addiction and how to achieve recovery, introduction to AA/NA, and referral to additional treatment/support services. The length of stay varies because treatment is individualized.

Fee: Accepts many forms of health insurance and third-party payers, including Medicaid. There are some sliding scale fees based on a variety of factors available for residents of Seven Counties Services’s region.
Eligibility: 18 years or older with alcoholism or other addiction and not exhibiting active suicidal or homicidal behavior.
Referral: Accepts self-referral as well as referral from other health service providers. To refer, contact Centerstone Addiction Recovery Center at 502.583.3951.

Inpatient Rehabilitation Program
Centerstone Addiction Recovery Center also provides an adult inpatient rehabilitation program for persons who have completed detox. This program includes group and individual counseling, education about the disease of addiction and recovery, relapse prevention, introduction to AA/NA, and referrals to community resources. Treatment at Centerstone Addiction Recovery Center is based on individual need, so lengths of stay may vary.

Fee: Most insurance and other third-party pay accepted.
Eligibility: 18 years or older who have completed inpatient detoxification program (see above). Clients who have completed the detox program can be transferred to this program. This program has to be authorized by the insurance company or can be private pay.

Inpatient Residential Program
Centerstone Addiction Recovery Center also provides an adult Alcohol & Drug Residential Program for people who have completed either a Detox Program or a Detox plus Rehabilitation Program. The services include: counseling, life skills, recreation, relapse prevention, introduction to AA/NA and referrals to community services.

Fee: Most insurance and third-party pay accepted. There are some sliding scale fees based on a variety of factors, which are available for residents of the Seven Counties Services region.
Eligibility: 18 years or older who have completed an inpatient detox program. This program has sliding scale fees available or can be authorized by insurance.
Referral: Accepts self-referral as well as referral from health and social service providers.

Outpatient Services

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP)
There are two evening IOP programs that provide treatment for 2 to 12 weeks for adults, allowing them to continue working or going to school while receiving services. We offer Men’s Intensive Outpatient Program, Mixed Gender Intensive Outpatient Program as well as a special Women’s IOP (see Women’s Services below).

Fee: Accepts many forms of health insurance and third-party payers, including Medicaid. There are some sliding scale fees based on income available for residents of Seven Counties Services’s region.
Program: Monday-Thursday 6:00pm-9:00pm (2-4 evenings a week)
Eligibility: 18 years and older.
Referral: Accepts self-referral and referrals from other health and human service providers. To refer, contact Centerstone Addiction Recovery Center at 502.583.3951.

Aftercare
Aftercare services includes an assessment and group counseling.

Fee: Medicaid; some sliding scale fees based on income.
Eligibility: Persons 18 and older who have completed an inpatient or an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at Centerstone Addiction Recovery Center.
Referral: Self-referral accepted as well as referrals from other health and human service providers. To refer, contact Centerstone Addiction Recovery Center at 502.583.3951.

Alcohol & Drug Education
A 4-session basic alcohol and drug education program that meets Kentucky requirements for people charged with marijuana possession or public intoxication.

Fee: $90 paid at time of service
Eligibility: Persons 18 and older.
Referral: Self-referral accepted as well as referrals from other social service and health service providers and employers. To refer, contact Centerstone Addiction Recovery Center at 502.583.3951.

Concerned Persons
The Concerned Persons program provides addiction and family education for persons who are related or close to someone with an alcohol and/or drug problem. Program consists of 3-4 sessions that a participant can begin attending at any point of the 4-week schedule. Sessions are from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. on Mondays.

Fee: None.
Eligibility: Persons age 13 and older.
Referral: No appointment necessary. Interested persons should arrive any Thursday at 5:45 p.m. prior to program start.

Women’s Services

Women’s IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program)
The Women’s IOP provides intensive outpatient treatment specifically designed for women with addictions.

Program: Monday-Friday 8:45am-12:00pm (noon).
Fee: Insurance and Medicaid accepted and some sliding scale fees available for residents of Seven Counties Services’s region.
Eligibility: Women 18 years and older with addictions.
Referral: Accepts self-referral as well as referrals from other social service and health service providers. Please contact Centerstone Addiction Recovery Center at 502.583.3951.

Project Link
Project Link offers outreach and case management services designed to identify, assess, and link pregnant and postpartum women to addiction treatment and other community resources.

Programs: Case Management
Fee: No cost to participants. The costs of this program are underwritten by the Kentucky Division of Substance Abuse. Medicaid also will reimburse for some services.
Eligibility: Pregnant or postpartum women who have or may have problems with alcohol/drugs.
Referral: Accepts self-referrals as well as those from families, health and social service providers. Please contact Centerstone Addiction Recovery Center and ask for Project Link at 502.583.3951.

Pregnant Clients
Programs: Centerstone Addiction Recovery Center offers Inpatient, Outpatient and Case Management for Pregnant Clients
Fee: Insurance and sliding scale fees for residents of the Seven Counties Services region who are not covered under Medicaid or Insurance.
Eligibility: Pregnant women who have or may have problems with alcohol/drugs.

COR-12™ Treatment Model

Seven Counties Services believes in  Recovery Oriented Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) to address the Opioid and Heroin Epidemic.  Recovery Oriented-MAT treats Heroin and Opioid use disorders with addiction medicine, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, case management, peer support, and linkage to the full continuum of community based mental health, children, and family services.  Research indicates when treating substance-use disorders, a combination of medication and behavioral therapies is most effective.

Seven Counties Services has been recognized by the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation as a regional Solution Provider of their evidence based curricula and will be working in concert to address the opioid epidemic in Kentucky. Seven Counties Services Recovery Oriented Medication Assisted Treatment program follows the framework of Hazelden’s COR-12™, “Integrating the Twelve Steps with Medication Assisted Treatment”.

Together Seven Counties Services and the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation will work to prevent opioid abuse in communities while providing effective treatment and support for lifelong recovery for those struggling with substance use addictions.  The COR-12™ Solution Set for Kentucky consists of a 5 Point Plan delivering community mobilization events, agency readiness assessments, clinical implementation training, and a Professional Learning Community for Clinical Leaders in support of COR-12™ program implementation.
